No Man's Land by Katey Laurel
I wrote this song a few years back after thinking about the metaphor of a broken heart being "no man's land" since there's no room for a new man in there! I love the Americana/bluegrass/folk vibe it has. Also was listening to a lot of Patty Griffin and a lot of country at the time. While it's a hypothetical story (nothing too interesting to tell here), I do love the image of "100 miles from nowhere" which is exactly the kind of picture I love to see in my mind when I think of lonely. Enjoy "No Man's Land."
