Finding the balance in the chaos in order to access the gates of inner freedom has been a recurring theme for me. Labor Of Love was written at a time when I decided to "take a break from myself" to ease some of my anxiety in growing in my career. I wanted to go back to who I was before I defined myself as a singer/songwriter. In this process, I did a lot of reflecting on why I do thing the things I do.... realizing that writing music and performing felt like honest work. I also didn't want to deny some of the things that I've always wanted in life, such as having a family.
