Greetings from a snowy Spring in the Albuquerque foothills. As I sit in front of the piñon fire this morning, I’m feeling a lot of gratitude. I’m grateful for this amazing Standing ‘O’ community we’ve built, and marveling at the ways we all contribute to its success.
Fan Members keep the community growing through financial support and enthusiasm. You recognize that music has value and that musicians deserve to be paid a fair wage. You stand up for the future of music.
Artist Members give value to the community by sharing music, videos, photos, personal stories, and by inviting fans. You bring truth and love to the world through music, and we support you in delivering this important message.
Katie Anne Mitchell (chief community builder) handles the day to day details of keeping the community functioning and growing, and does an amazing job with the podcast interviews and transcripts. You’ve absorbed so much over the last four years (and diligently applied it), you’re becoming a fine singer/songwriter in your own right… an inspiration to all aspiring musicians.
Vivian Nesbitt (dear wife, business partner and lead Art of the Song interviewer) draws out insightful nuggets of wisdom in conversation with the best songwriters of our time. You keep me inspired and focused on what’s important.
At the Income Store, our development team writes code to bring our vision of a beautiful and engaging website into existence. Our marketing team develops creative strategies to connect with more fans and build the community.
I’m truly grateful to all our community members for being ambassadors for our mission to keep music alive through creative inspiration, musical discovery, and financial support to artists.
Standing and applauding for all of you!
