"As you become a songwriter you have to go through these kind of tests..I used to get really scared about it and now it seems like a fun challenge. So every time there's a new opportunity I look at it as an opportunity instead of a big scary thing."
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Zach Broocke grew up listening to Jim Croce, Harry Chapin, Cat Stevens and Merle Haggard. While a student at Claremont College in California, he was a psychology major, but it wasn’t until he moved to Boston and studied at Berklee College of Music that he became comfortable with songwriting. He’s co-written with some of the top songwriters in Nashville and has 4 CD’s to his credit. We spoke with Zach in our Albuquerque studios.
