Written with the help of Severin Browne who wrote the bridge of this song.
Born and raised in New Orleans, music is in Leslie Beauvais’ genes, heart and soul, and in every breath she takes. She has used her gift of song to spread the joy of music across America and around the world. Leslie’s journey has taken her to some remarkable places, both geographical & spiritual, all of which have left their imprint on her life and on her music.
Leslie’s career began in musical theatre, traveling with the Young Americans, performing in the National Broadway touring company of “Les Miserables”, and in the original Off-Broadway production of “Hidden Sky”, winner of the Richard Rogers Award.
Along way, she began to write her own songs, the best of which Leslie poured into two albums under her then-married name, Leslie Clemmons. “Stop The World” and “Waiting For My Conviction” both received rave reviews and national airplay.
Ms. Beauvais’ newest CD, “Chemistry”, is an album of personal transformation, rebirth and redemption. Leslie hopes it speaks to your own experience, to your heart, and to your truth. Her songs sing of heartache and joy, doubt and triumph, tears and laughter, using all the styles in her musical toolbox. In short, “Chemistry” is a savory gumbo of pop, rock, country, folk and jazz, with a touch of New Orleans spice.
