"One of the great things I learned in the theater group that I think that really stood me in good stead when I'd be feeling just off-balance, we learned that the big thing was you take your work seriously, but you don't take yourself seriously."
Bio
With styles ranging from folk to jazz to spoken word, Michigan singer/songwriter Claudia Schmidt has performed for audiences large and small across North America and Europe, including numerous appearances on the radio program, A Prairie Home Companion. According to her bio, “Schmidt weaves her way through her concert in much the same manner as a jester. Interwoven anecdotes, revealing her past and present, bring people to expect a relationship between themselves and memories driven deep with the passage of time.” We visited with Claudia in our Art of the Song studio.
